Stop Me From Falling (New Version) by Kylie Minogue featuring Gente De Zona

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Two weeks after dropping her album Golden, which hit #1 in the UK and Australia, Kylie has just released a second video for the album’s second single, “Stop Me From Falling.”

The video was shot in Cuba and features Cuban pop stars Gente de Zona. They weren’t on the album version of the song, but it’s a nice little addition, especially because we have Kylie singing a few extra lines in Spanish!

It’s been a long time since Kylie released a big production video like this, and we are loving it! In it, she flirts with a handful of hotties in some of Cuba’s most beautiful settings. The choreography is very nice, and her outfits are all very beautiful, she’s looking really good. Check out the video ...

Let’s hope the promotion for Golden keeps on going and we get more videos and a nice tour later on this year! The new version of "Stop Me From Falling" is available on digital outlets everywhere. We've added it to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Shine on,
—Raoni

Need You by Rebecca & Fiona

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Great news! Rebecca & Fiona have a new song out and it really is a return to form for them. The new song is called "Need You." We "need you" to buy it! More details on that later!

We have been supporters of the Swedish duo for the past five years (see below), but we feel like they got off course last year with their singles "Pay Me", "Money", and "Pop Bitches." The later one we didn't even feature in Poptastic Confessions.

Back to the new song, "Need You" starts off a bit dreamy until the droning beat start in right before the catchy chorus. It has so many nice elements that it reminds you of the magic of the duo. We are pleased. Have a listen ...

Wasn't that awesome? If you aren't familiar with their work. Check out these songs that we've highlighted over the past five years.

"Need You" is available on digital outlets everywhere. Be sure to buy it to support them because they are now on an independent label and we "need you" to support them so they continue to make pop gems like this. We've added "Need You" to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Simply The Best by Noah Reid

Dear Poptastic Readers,

There is an acoustic song out now by Noah Reid that we can't seem to get enough of. It is a beautiful cover of the 1989 classic made famous by Tina Turner. However, upon researching it, Bonnie Tyler first recorded the song in 1988. You're going to love Noah's version. We do!

So who is Noah Reid? Well, he is a Canadian artist who plays the role of Patrick on the hilarious TV show Schitt's Creek. The show is in its 4th season. We just found out about the show last month and we've binge-watched the first 3 seasons on Netflix. In Season 4, Noah Reid really shines as he gives us this song. You can watch a clip here ...

Wasn't that lovely? Yes, it was. When we watched the episode, everyone in the room was in tears. We mostly laugh at Schitt's Creek, but many times it captures our heart and this song was a magical moment. If you have never seen Schitt's Creek. Go watch it now! Here is the trailer for the first season ...

We did a little bit more exploring of Noah Reid and he released an album in 2016 called Songs From A Broken Chair. It's a collection of heartfelt acoustic songs. Normally our genre includes pop beats, but Noah has captivated us. Check out his video for the song "Runaway" ...

We hope Noah continues his role as Patrick on Schitt's Creek. We are rooting for him and David (aka Dan Levy). As for "Simply The Best" ... It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added it (and "Runaway") to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Cheers then,
—Davearama

Where Is Love by Mel & Kim

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Last month, a new song and single was released from the late-80s UK sister duo Mel & Kim. The new song is "Where Is Love." The news of this song came as a surprise as Mel died in 1990.

Mel & Kim are best known for their Stock, Aitken, Waterman–written and produced track called "Respectable." It was a UK #1 hit as well as many other countries in 1987. Their debut album F.L.M. also featured 3 more UK top ten hits like "Showing Out (Get Fresh For The Weekend)", "F.L.M.", and "That's The Way It Is."

Mel had been battling cancer and died of pneumonia in January of 1990. Her sister Kim continued on with a solo career in the early 90s. Her biggest hit was "Don't Worry."

So in the beginning of this year, we heard that there would be a new Mel & Kim song out this year. "Where Is Love" is a previously unreleased demo track that got an overhaul. It came with a nice remix package, too. Here is snippet of the 7th Heaven Club Mix ...

We've gone ahead and added the US Radio Version to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~
